NHSF Strategic Framework Padlets

The Strategic Framework for Heritage Science 2024-27 is a roadmap for collective action – bringing together heritage science research, people and impact to understand, protect and enhance heritage and address societal challenges.

We want to hear about work you’re doing that maps to the three strands of public value, research, and community. You can add a brief description and/or link to the online noticeboards. Our aim is to support the heritage science community to make connections, avoid duplication, and deliver change!

Public Value – understanding the stakeholders for heritage science research; agreeing what to measure and how; increasing opportunities for public engagement; making research more visible; developing connections with industry; building stronger links between heritage science and public policy. Contribute here.

Research – increasing the variety of funding streams available for interdisciplinary research; connecting to research capability; collaborating to identify research priorities; increasing the translation of research into practice; supporting cutting-edge research. Contribute here.

Community – increasing knowledge of the heritage science community; researching skills gaps and needs; developing varied entry routes and training opportunities; addressing barriers to career progression; celebrating common interests within heritage science; increasing the visibility of heritage science as a career. Contribute here.
