IPERION-HS

IPERION HS is a consortium of 24 partners from 23 countries that contributes to establishing a pan-European research infrastructure on heritage science. It is determined to take up the challenge set out in the Horizon 2020 for European research infrastructures, which calls for the establishment of a unique European research infrastructure for Heritage Science.

The consortium brings together national facilities of recognised excellence in Heritage Science and offers training and access to a wide range of high-level scientific instruments, methodologies, data, and tools for advancing knowledge and innovation in heritage science.

NHSF member, University College London, is part of IPERION HS. Their major contribution to the work of the consortium is leading a Preventive Conservation Lab. The lab enables cutting edge research on the interaction between heritage materials and environments, and comprises digital tools, portable equipment, and computational methods.
